Depending on the type of fruit, 100 kg of fully ripened fruit produces between 2.5 and max. 8 l of schnapps. Rochelt uses the traditional Tyrolean distilling process; the schnapps is distilled twice, in copper vats.

After distilling, the schnapps needs time! Rochelt gives it all the time it needs: initially still "raw", the schnapps matures for at least 3 and up to 10 years. The alcohol and aroma take years to form a harmonious unit. When it's ready to drink, the liquor has a strong aroma and is delicately fruity while being typical of the variety and pure.

The typical "Rochelt bottle" made from green glass is an adaptation of the traditional Tyrolean "Zangenflasche". Each bottle comes packaged in a wooden box. The 0.35 and 0.7 l bottles are delivered together with a pewter cap including pourer.

Rochelt schnapps are among the most sophisticated of their kind. There are now more than 20 types, including many "old" types of fruit. Storage is kind to them, as they improve with age.

Following the death of Günter Rochelt, the distillery is now run by his son-in-law Alexander Rainer in line with quality fanatic GÃŒnter Rochelt's strict principles: If the harvest of a certain fruit type is not up to standard, then that type of schnapps simply isn't made that year!

We have a large selection of different Rochelt schnapps in stock. The schnapps types are available in trial size 0.04 l, a small 0.10 l bottle or 0.35 l and 0.70 l bottles.

It goes without saying that we also stock the "limited editions" such as Rowanberry or Blackcurrant.

Please give us a call and we will be happy to advise you over the phone. Of course, you can also send us an e-mail or drop into our store on the Königsallee.
