“Maria Weiß” is a service that has already become legendary. For generations, it was the porcelain of choice for weddings and other celebrations. The model for its characteristic shape was a silver teapot from around 1815, which company founder Philipp Rosenthal brought back from a trip to England and had reproduced in porcelain in honor of his wife, the French countess Maria de Beurges.
