This silver-plated caviar service takes us on a journey through time into the imperial empire of Napoleon Bonaparte. The Malmaison collection from the house of Christofle typifies the Empire style and features characteristic strict lines and sophisticated materials: The outer dish has a diameter of 17 cm and features a border of engraved palm tree tops which are characteristic for the collection. The handles on both sides, which take the shape of a majestic eagle's head, are perfectly formed. The inner dish is somewhat smaller and made from clear crystal glass which is neutral in taste and features a silver-plated lid with a handle in the shape of a lotus flower. Due to the different sizes, the silver dish can be filled with ice and the crystal glass bowl placed centrally on the ice bed thanks to the practical frame inside the silver bowl. This not only ensures that the black gold is served at the perfect temperature, but also that it is particularly sumptuous. In combination with the caviar horn spoon from the extensive collection, the enjoyment of caviar could literally not be any more tasteful.
