100 years ago, husband and wife Hermann and Eva Franzen established themselves on the exclusive Kö boulevard lined with chestnut trees. The purchase and renovation of the real estate was worth half a million Goldmark. Today, the family and company Franzen can build on this capital: A business located on the street with one of the highest turnovers in the world is worth its weight in gold.

In other words, the brand Franzen is of immeasurable value. The entrepreneurial family from Düsseldorf has managed to achieve the very thing of which many entrepreneurs can only dream: turning their own name into a trademark. The image and reputation of the company have been established from Flensburg to Passau and around the world for many years and can hardly be topped.
100 years on the Kö – this has also involved mastering the highs and lows. The destructions of the world wars and the economic crises have left their mark, as have social and technical transformations. In the past century, politics, culture, lifestyles, personalities and generations have all changed. However, Franzen has remained the stage for style and quality.

It began with porcelain, glasses and silverware. Today, the concept store sells jewelry, watches and cookware as well as bags, accessories and writing utensils – all exclusive goods in line with the company standing which are well worth their price.
The Franzen premises have already witnessed numerous world premieres. Now it is time for the next. The newly designed entrance has been laid with slabs of porcelain from the Meissen manufactory. A floor made from porcelain – only at Franzen. The exquisite product from Saxony has a lot to put up with, as half a million customers enter the store every year. In other words, almost every resident of Düsseldorf takes a look through the shop. Franzen – this is a history of a company and one of the people who run it. This includes the employees and the customers. The Franzen family feels a responsibility to them. »Always one step ahead and always a cut above the rest!« This is and always has been the company's motto.
Franzen Königsallee – the brand is simply also a family. The presence with the customers is of the utmost importance to all the Franzen-family. After all, this is the key to the company’s success. The management quintet is therefore present in-shop, especially on Saturdays. As two of the last true Kö businessmen, Hermann Franzen Senior and his brother Claus have managed to leave their mark on the street. The future is secure: The next generation is waiting in the wings.
